Supporting The Renfrewshire Christmas Toy Bank

21 November 2019

The Kitchen Depot in Hillington will be kicking off the season of goodwill by giving a little back to the local community. For each kitchen sold on the 1st December, we will be donating £100 to the Renfrewshire Christmas Toy Bank.

Who are the Renfrewshire Christmas Toy Bank?

A small, local and non-profit organisation with a big heart! The RCTB work hard to help as many Renfrewshire children as possible experience the magic of Christmas. The money we donate will go towards gift items for children of all ages, providing gift cards for teenagers and specialised gifts for children living with disabilities.

Set-up by Renfrew mum, Lauren Roy-Sutherland, The RCTB works in partnership with the Social Work, Families First, Barnardos Threads, Renfrewshire Young Carers, The Star Project and Glenburn Stronger Communities. Throughout the festive season, they also work closely with Renfrewshire Council and many other local community groups and charities. Together, these organisations deal with the most deprived children across Renfrewshire. They are able to make a referral to the Toy Bank for a child to receive a Christmas gift.

Find Out How You Can Help.

For some children, that gift will be the only Christmas gift that they will receive this year. We believe that every child deserves the joy of opening a gift on Christmas morning. So even if you’re not thinking of a new kitchen, you can still help bring some festive magic to a local child by making a donation at your local Renfrewshire Toy Bank drop-off point. For more information on the amazing work this organisation does, please visit the Renfrewshire Toy Bank Facebook page.

We hope to raise as much money as possible for such a great cause. If you would like to get involved please pop into the store on 1st December. You can use our store locator to find directions to our Hillington kitchen showroom.
