2023 has been an incredible landmark year for The Kitchen Depot. Join us as we look back at an actioned packed twelve months.
New Showroom Openings
One of our biggest accomplishments of this year was undoubtedly launching two fantastic new showrooms. In March, The Kitchen Depot Rosyth opened it’s doors for the first time as our expansion into the East of Scotland continued. Rob and Eilidh Graham are welcome additions to our franchise network and have thoroughly enjoyed servicing customers throughout their region. Meanwhile the development of another showroom in the West Midlands was already well underway. Under the tutelage of Stuart Wesson, The Kitchen Depot Sutton Coldfield was launched in September.
In addition to two new showrooms, our East Kilbride location underwent some incredible changes in 2023. At the start of July, new showroom manager Kirsten Colquhoun hosted a Grand Reopening Celebration to mark the fantastic makeover her new showroom had underwent.
20th Anniversary Celebration
In 2023, we celebrated the 20th Anniversary of The Kitchen Depot opening it’s first ever showroom. To mark this special occasion, we hosted an event at Ingliston Country Club & Hotel for the entirety of The Kitchen Depot family.
Over 140 people attend our wonderful evening, all dressed to the nines to commemorate 20 years of fantastic service and the memories we made along the way. Amongst the guests were members of The Kitchen Depot family, past and present. Representatives from all 20 of our showrooms across the UK were in attendance along with some of our most trusted partners across our supply network.
First Ever Sale
We also celebrated two decades of unmistakable quality by launching The Kitchen Depot’s first ever sale. For a limited time only, customers could receive fantastic discounts off their new kitchen design throughout all 20 of our locations nationwide.
Our message was simple “20% off to celebrate our 20th year.”
Our Bit For Charity
In 2023 we made it our mission to give more back and support charitable causes close to our heart. One of our biggest efforts this year was taking part in The Kiltwalk back in April. A wonderful group of representatives from our head office ventured across Glasgow for almost 15 miles to raise money for The British Heart Foundation. They not only succeeded in finishing the event but also raising a fantastic £1765! Learn more about this adventure here.
We continued to find ways to champion other causes throughout the rest of the year. In October we took part in Wear It Pink Day in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness before putting up our Cash For Kids donation tree again in December.

Company Culture Initiative
Another massive priority for us in 2023 was to create an incredible culture around The Kitchen Depot. A huge part of this new initiative was the establishing a Culture Committee. This group consists of a representative from each department meeting up on a regular basis to discuss how we can make The Kitchen Depot even better while giving staff a platform for their voice to be heard.
Another great culture initiative was the implementation of a Employee of the Month award. This year we have had twelve fantastic winners who have all been highlighted for their hard work, dedication, and positive attitude. Along with the recognition, the winners all had the chance to pick out a prize from our Lucky Dip. Prizes ranged from restaurant and spa vouchers, additional annual leave, and even the opportunity to for a personal growth day of their choosing. The wonderful Yvonne Agnew took this chance to complete a lifelong goal of carrying out a sky dive!
Expanded Kitchen Range
This year, we expanded our superb range of kitchens. We wanted to be able to provide our customers with an array of styles to help them find their dream kitchen.
Among the additions were shaker doors Ashton, Jamison, and Winchester which helped form our Natural Edge Collection. We also introduced the Lavello sinks & taps collection to our portfolio, enriching the capabilities of our fantastic kitchen designs.
Incredible Kitchen Renovations
Of course, our greatest accomplishment this year is designing, manufacturing, and installing incredible kitchen designs for our wonderful customers. From classic shaker designs to sleek, modern environments, we have done it all this year. Many of our customers have kept up to date with the latest trends, utilising popular décors such as our new Reed Green option on this stylish LINEA kitchen design.

A Few Fresh Faces
We also had the pleasure of welcoming a few fantastic new members to The Kitchen Depot family in 2023.
Among the new arrivals was our Graphic Designer, Emma Beattie, who joined in June with her fresh ideas and brilliant attitude. Graham Bucktrout also joined the team during the summer, taking up the role of Franchise Director. He brings with him a wealth of experience that will be invaluable to The Kitchen Depot going forward. The addition of the wonderful Lynsey Miller to our finance department coincided with the temporary leave of our very own Jada Slimmon who had her own new arrival to take care of.
